On Friday March 1st, Café Campesino, Georgia’s first and only 100% organic and fair trade specialty coffee roaster, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for our new roasting facility and headquarters. Over 100 friends and customers joined us at 508 W. Forsyth St, Americus, Georgia to check out the new digs and to celebrate with us.
The Facility
The newly rehabilitated, 5000 square foot, facility repurposes a former tractor supply shop and shirt factory into a state-of-the art production space that has the capacity to greatly increase our coffee production. The new office space occupies the old Trailways and Greyhound bus station which has also been empty for years and is the first building one sees when driving into town from US19. The new complex symbolizes our continued commitment to the Americus community as well as to a fair and sustainable coffee trade.
