This week, the wheels are turning once again as the 2025 Bike Ride Across Georgia (BRAG) kicks off its epic, week-long cycling tour across the Peach State. Thousands of riders from Georgia and beyond will take to scenic backroads and small towns, pedaling with purpose, community, and joy from Rome at the base of the Appalachian Trail to beautiful Hartwell. And once again, Café Campesino is proud to ride alongside them—serving up fair trade, organic coffee at rest stops and cheering on the riders who make this event so special.
What is the Bike Ride Across Georgia?
Since 1980, BRAG has been more than a ride—it’s a tradition. A nonprofit organization rooted in the belief that cycling can bring people together and build healthier communities, BRAG hosts a variety of annual events including the Big BRAG, Spring TuneUp, and Atlanta Cycling Festival. These events draw cyclists of all levels—from weekend warriors to road-hardened veterans—for a journey that celebrates Georgia’s landscapes, culture, and camaraderie.
This year’s Big BRAG promises hundreds of miles of riding, live music, food trucks, campgrounds, and spontaneous friendships forged over pedal strokes and campfires. It’s a weeklong rolling celebration of Georgia and the people who call it home.
Café Campesino: Brewing Coffee and Connection
For more than two decades, Café Campesino has fueled the BRAG community with our ethically sourced, fair trade organic coffee. From early morning brews at campsite breakfast tents to mid-ride pick-me-ups, we bring the flavor, warmth, and purpose of our signature BRAG Brew to the road.
But our role is more than just caffeination. It’s about connection. We believe coffee can be a catalyst for conversation, community, and change—and that’s why our partnership with BRAG continues to thrive year after year.
Riding for Change: The BRAG Dream Team
Among the many inspiring stories along the BRAG route, none stand out more than The Dream Team. Founded in 1994, this life-changing initiative provides underserved Georgia youth with mentorship, structure, and opportunity through long-distance cycling. Riders train for months, build tight-knit bonds, and ultimately complete the Big BRAG—many for the first time in their lives.
Supported by adult leaders and dedicated volunteers, Dream Team cyclists gain more than fitness—they gain confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging. At Café Campesino, we’ve been honored to support The Dream Team since the beginning. Our commitment reflects our broader mission: just as we partner with small-scale coffee farmers around the world, we invest in empowering young leaders right here in Georgia. Ten percent of each sale of BRAG Brew goes to help fund this incredible project and its young riders.
Why It All Matters
For us, Big BRAG is more than a bike ride. It’s a vivid reminder of our values in motion: sustainability, equity, health, and human connection. It’s a chance to share stories over steaming mugs of coffee, to watch young leaders discover their strength, and to contribute to something greater than ourselves.
We invite you to learn more about Café Campesino’s community partnerships and to follow along as the ride unfolds this week. Whether you’re on a bike, behind a brew bar, or cheering from the sidelines—together, we’re all moving forward.

One Response
I have particpated in BRAG at least 18 times, starting in 1993. Cafe Campesino joined BRAG in 2000 and my husband and I have been loyal drinkers, fans and friends to the CC staff through the years. I am so appreciative of CC’s commitment to The Dream Team and also to the hundreds of BRAG riders who I am SURE could not face the 50+miles BRAG days without their morning coffee -starting at 5:30 a.m. Even better, there is coffee mid day and sometimes into later afternoon. I do miss the ‘coffee house’ atmosphere of previous years, but the CC team works hard and very long hours as it is. GREAT JOB to the entire CC team, past, present and future! Look forward to BRAG ’26.
